Aquarius Soak & Chill Private Oasis is a private vacation rental with a mineral water-soaking tub. The stand-alone house is located in the “Water District” of Truth or Consequences, NM.

It’s only open to guests who rent the house, one group at a time. The Bohemian vintage 1930s cottage can be rented out year-round. While it’s not a hot springs, it is a mineral cool water springs fed from an underground aquifer.

The mineral water pool is clothing optional. There’s a large 8-foot privacy fence between the two sides of the duplex. A 6-foot privacy fence surrounds the remainder of the yard. It’s private from peeping eyes in the bedroom, bathroom, and backyard.

There is one cowboy soaking tub that’s filled with mineral water from deep underground. The temperature is adjustable from 70 to 125 degrees Fahrenheit.

The source of the mineral water is a one square mile aquifer under downtown Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. Until 1950 the town had the name, Hot Springs. Each pocket of underground water has its own temperature. The commercial hot spring resorts all tap into the hot water. The well at Aquarius Soak & Chill Private Oasis taps into a cooler pocket at around 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

Once it reaches the surface there is an on-demand water heat by the soaking tub. So when you turn on the hot water (red) faucet, the mineral water passes through the heater first, before filling the tub. There is also a cold (blue) faucet that comes straight from the well without the use of the heater. Rest assured, there is no hook-up to the city wall at all, so no chemically treated water, it’s all from the mineral water aquifer.

The 750-square-foot one-bedroom vacation rental is your own mineral springs hideaway. It’s available for rent on Airbnb and other hotel booking sites. It comes with full access to the clothing-optional soaking tub and all the amenities.

Perks include a wood fire pit with wood and a barbecue grill with propane. There are also beach towels for your soaking pleasure. The patio has an outdoor heater to keep you warm on cooler New Mexico nights. Two bikes are provided with chains to lock them up on your bicycle tour around Truth or Consequences. Relax beside the trees on the 2-person swing. Cook in the fully furnished kitchen, complete with a Keurig machine and K-cups.
