Balneario de Zújar (Hot Springs Resort) – Granada, Spain

Situated in Spain’s southernmost region, you will find Balneario de Zújar, a polished hotel featuring beautiful accommodations, healing mineral pools, and a specialty restaurant overlooking the Negratín Reservoir. Located in the city of Granada, the hot springs stunning landscape and scenic views are sure to fill you with a sense of tranquillity.

Thermal Baths

The large assortment of thermal baths and pools is by far the most popular feature of Balneario de Zújar. The geothermally heated mineral water fills the various tubs at toasty 104°F. This high heat is the perfect temperature for relieving tension and promoting relaxation.

The pools are split into two distinct areas. The Caldarium Space, named after an ancient Roman room, contains two indoor pools, one outdoor pool, a relaxing sauna, and a realistic Roman bath. The other area focuses on the water’s therapeutic properties, boasting a thermal bath and Vichy shower.

Massage and Hydrothermal Therapy

Additionally, the resort offers comprehensive massages, skin treatments, and hydrothermal therapy. Combining the healing benefits from the mineral water with these treatments produces a remarkably relaxing experience.

Accommodations

Just like the thermal pools, Balneario de Zújar’s accommodations are split into two categories: basic rooms and private suites.

The resort’s rooms can be reserved with either one or two beds. The rooms accommodations include air conditioning, a television, and a private bathroom. There is no wifi in the rooms, but you can gain access to the resort’s wifi while in public spaces, including the library and living area.

For those looking for more secluded, relaxing accommodations, the resort offers five individual suites with stunning views of the Negratín Reservoir. Each of these five tastefully appointed suites includes a large jacuzzi tub, terrace, and complimentary Wifi connection.

Guests staying overnight at the resort also have access to the polished resort restaurant, “La Alcancia,”. This restaurant, featuring a large dining room and expansive reservoir facing terrace, takes traditional Spanish cuisine and modernizes it.
