Banbury Hot Springs – Buhl, Idaho

Banbury Hot Springs in Buhl, Idaho, is a natural hot springs facility located 27 miles from Twin Falls on the banks of the Snake River. There is a main pool, five private baths, a day-use picnic area, and a tree-shaded, grassy park area at the park.

Natural Hot Springs

Banbury Hot Springs has a spacious mineral pool and five individual hot tubs. Although walk-ins are welcome in the large pool, appointments are required for the private baths. Reservations can be made online.

The huge 120-by-60-foot swimming pool is filled with a mixture of hot mineral water (from an artesian well at 138 °F) and cool spring water (from the Snake River aquifer). The pool water is chemically treated and ranges in temperature from 89° F to 95° F, depending on the season.

A diving board can be found towards the pool’s deeper end. The natural hot spring water that flows ceaselessly is warm, smooth, and odorless.

The water temperature in the private baths may be adjusted as needed. Baths are emptied and cleaned after each use, so no chemical treatment is necessary.

Other Amenities

At Banbury Hot Springs, you can enjoy a picnic at the park’s day-use seating area, surrounded by trees and grassy areas. Banbury Adventures offers its customers a wide selection of river toys for rent, but there’s a capacity limit on the gear per day, so plan ahead. Visitors can make the most of their vacation by renting kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and more.

Anyone who wants to launch their kayaks will need to make a ‘Parking and Launch Reservation’ ahead of time. There will be a limited amount of daily reservations available, so book online in advance.

Lodging and Camping

Tent camping with amenities and hookups for RVs (15 total) are also available, along with amenities including water and power.

Less than two miles away, visitors can rent everything from geo-domes designed for glamping to spacious apartments with all the comforts of home at their sister site, Miracle Hot Springs. The domes come in two sizes, are suitable for two people, and resemble a fancy yurt.

All lodgings may be booked via their online system for ease. All glamping domes, cabins, and full lodging are pet- and smoke-free zones.
