Located in a suburban part of Calistoga, Carlin’s Country Cottages provide peace and quiet in a motor court–style hot springs resort. The property has cozy villas with an outdoor pool and jacuzzi filled with mineral water from hot springs.
History
For two generations, the same family has run Carlin’s Cottages. Dennis and Lorrie Carlin, residents of San Francisco, made the trip up to Calistoga, at the top of Napa Valley, in 1994 to buy a multi-unit property.
Over the last quarter-century, all six of their children have taken part in working on the property. The original owners and their descendants may still be seen relaxing on the front porch of the Cottage Court on a sunny day.
Natural Hot Springs
The hotel has rooms with huge jacuzzi tubs that can fit two people and are heated by hot springs in the area. Your worries will melt away as you bathe in their outdoor pool or hot tub, both of which are filled with geothermal water from the property’s own hot springs. The big pool is heated in the winter and cooled with mineral water throughout the summer.
All pools are available throughout the year, giving travelers access to water and more ways to relax during every season. The big pool temperatures range from 90 to 98 °F, and the natural hot spring Jacuzzi temperature is 102 °F. Chlorine is used in both water features.
Lodging
Guests may choose from several individual cottages. The standard room rate is per person per night, and you have to stay at least two nights if you book on a Saturday. Adults and children over the age of twelve may be charged additional fees. In exchange for a refundable pet deposit, they accept dogs under 30 pounds.
The rooms at Carlin’s are equipped with free in-room coffee, cable TV, and WiFi. A microwave, refrigerator, bathtub, complimentary amenities, and a closet are all standard for each guestroom. Each room at the inn has a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, a private bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer, and, in some cases, a sitting area.

Activities
An outdoor picnic and barbeque area are also available. The spas, wine bars, restaurants, and charming boutiques of downtown Calistoga are all within a short stroll of the property. Playing tennis on-site or hiking in the area is a great way to enjoy some time outdoors.
Visitors who want to discover more about Calistoga will also have plenty of chances to learn about the culture and explore. Hot air balloon rides, biking, exploring vineyards, doing arts, yoga in the vineyards, and wine tasting are a few of the most popular things to do.
