Cove Warm Springs is a pool built on top of a geothermal hot spring in the little hamlet of Cove in the Grande Ronde Valley in northeastern Oregon. There is a huge swimming pool, as well as picnic tables and children’s playground equipment, in this area.
Hot Springs Water and Pool

Located in the southern part of town, Cove Warm Springs has been available to the public for leisure swimming from Memorial Day to Labor Day year after year. The 60′ x 65′ pool is automatically refilled at a speed of 110 gallons per minute by a continuous stream of pure mineral water.
The springs and pool both have a comfortable summertime water temperature of 86 degrees Fahrenheit. You’ll need to have your swimsuit with you at all times since it’s not a clothing-optional facility.
The pool was constructed right over a mineral spring, which emerges through a 15-by-15-foot hole on the bottom of the pool that looks like a dark spot. The source is surrounded by gravel, and the rest of the swimming area is made of concrete.
Visitors who left their food at home may purchase some at the snack bar by the pool. There are picnic tables available for use by groups or families. The facility includes a restroom and a changing room for your convenience. Pets are not permitted in the swimming pool area.
