Situated approximately ten miles from the world-famous Death Valley National Park, you’ll find one of the most delightful thermal springs getaways. It was previously known as Delight’s Hot Springs Resort and is now called Death Valley Hot Springs. It’s located in the small town of Tecopa, CA, with an approximate population of 212 (in 2020).
Here, guests can soak their cares away in one of the many relaxing on-site geothermal mineral-rich hot spring pools. There are accommodations on-site for those wanting to spend the night. Choose from various lodging options as well as campsites.
Mineral Hot Spring Pools
Death Valley Hot Springs is no stranger to options. Whether you’re someone who prefers a private escape to relax and rejuvenate or prefers to splash around with your friends and family members, you can find exactly what you’re looking for at this destination.
Let’s start with the lavish outdoor swimming pool that’s large enough for laps or a game of Marco Polo with your buddies. The main pool offers glistening and inviting waters and is surrounded by smaller (and hotter!) pools to cater to your needs. Each pool has a temperature of up to 104°F and offers picturesque 360° views of the immense desert.
If you prefer a more intimate setting, Death Valley Hot Springs also offers four centrally located individual bathhouses. Each bathhouse is complete with a small pool, shower, and changing area. With enticing temperatures ranging from 102°F to 104°F, these enclosed areas offer the serene getaway you’ve been looking for.
Day passes are available for those who wish to indulge in the hot spring pools, but overnight guests receive 24-hour access to the waters.
Lodging and Camping
If you love rustic accommodations that transport you back in time, then you’ll love the options at Death Valley Hot Springs. Choose between cottages, cabins, motel rooms, and houses built in the 1940s, which still have their vintage flare. Not all options have the same amenities, so double-check what the accommodation offers before booking.
This resort also offers a top-notch and scenic area for RVs with majestic views of the Nopah Mountains. There are 50 and 30-amp electric hookups available, as well as sewer and water. Anyone staying in the RV park is allowed access to the on-site hot spring pools.
