El Banito Aguas Termales – Hidalgo, Mexico

January 26, 2023 By //  by Michelle Keldgord

If you’re searching for a place that combines the relaxation of hot springs with the thrill of a water park, the El Banito Aguas Termales in Amajac, Hidalgo, Mexico, is your ideal vacation. Here, you can enjoy a large selection of water activities, from soaking to sliding.

The El Banito Aguas Termales has many options for soaking and splashing.

Inside the facility, you will find a toasty hot spring pool that’s a delightful 100.4°F. There is also a wading pool for those seeking a little more wiggle room and a pool for those who wish to swim laps or horse around with their loved ones. The indoor area also features a warm mud pool ideal for taking care of your skin.

One thing to keep in mind about the indoor pools and spas is that the color is a funky green shade. The hotel states that the water is not dirty. Instead, the water achieves this appearance due to the influx of calcium, sulfur, and other natural elements – all of which are beneficial to your body and mind.

The indoor water options are open Monday through Sunday, 6 am to 6 pm. However, visitors can enjoy a lovely nighttime venture on the weekends from 10 pm to 2 pm.

Outside you will also find another realm of water activities to enjoy, including pools and water slides. While these are known as cold springs, they are not 100% all-natural and contain various chemicals.
