Elkhorn Hot Springs Polaris MT

Elkhorn Hot Springs – Polaris, Montana

August 9, 2022 By //  by Matt Thomas

If you’re looking for a year-long hot spring resort that offers a variety of outdoor activities and indoor comforts, Elkhorn Hot Springs is the place to go. Debatably one of the top hot springs in all of Montana, Elkhorn is known for the cabin vibe.

The rustic aroma, interior, and aura of the place just make the experience more memorable. The accommodation has been open since 1981.

Hot Springs Pools

One-hundred percent heated from the geothermal energy beneath the pools, the hot springs in this location is perfect for relaxation and healing. They do not add any chemical treatments, because the heat itself clears out the toxins of the environment.

“The outdoor pools range in temperature from 92-102 degrees, and our indoor wet sauna heats up to 104-106 degrees!”

Accommodations

There are two types of accommodation at Elkhorn Hot Springs: lodges and cabins. The Lodge is the “heart of our home” at Elkhorn. This is the main foundation of the original structure of the resort. They have a dormitory-style lodge room, which is perfect for backpackers and travelers on a budget.

Though they’re smaller, the rooms are located on the upper level, which gives guests amazing views. Every room also has a WiFi connection and phone calls.

On the other hand, if you want a more private experience, you can book a cabin, which evokes a true “Montana-western” design. They have small, large, and modern cabins, that will fit any type of requirement. If you’re looking for a getaway, but you need more modern amenities, you should check out their “Modern Cabins” that come with a complete kitchen and newer facilities.

Dining

Elkhorn Hot Springs also has in-house dining which has a very limited menu. It’s perfect for snacks, coffee breaks, and simple desserts, but not advisable if you need a full meal.
