After a day of hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains or the Blue Ridge Mountains, decompress in one of the hot springs near Asheville, NC. There are a couple of places to stay where you can benefit from these natural mineral waters.

Not only are these resorts incredibly relaxing, but they have stunning views of the surrounding areas. Hot spring water can be the ultimate relaxation tool, and these destinations are the best options in the state. Each resides about forty-five minutes from Ashville, aka, “The Land of the Sky” and “Paris of the South”.

Appropriately named, the Hot Springs Resort and Spa in Hot Springs, NC, is a relaxing, luxurious 100-acre destination for people looking to unwind. The resort has 12 private whirlpool jacuzzis filled with local mineral water ranging from 100-104℉, and each one is completely drained and sanitized between uses.

These hot tubs have a fantastic view of the river that adds to the overall ambiance. Reservations are required for a visit, but the facility is open to the public seven days a week from 9 am to 9 pm.

The Hot Springs Resort and Spa has a large camping area in addition to the jetted jacuzzi spa facility. There are five different kinds of sites based on size for tent or trailer camping, in addition to cabins and suite rooms for overnight stays.

The suites come with a private hot tub filled with mineral water, but all guests have access to picnic tables, outdoor space to explore, and showers. Each type of accommodation requires a minimum two-night stay. Additionally, some of the traditional campground sites are equipped with RV hookups.

Located less than a mile from downtown Ashville, Broadwing Farms Cabins is a unique place to stay for solo travelers, couples, and families looking to spend some time with nature. There are three different cabins set on 85 acres of beautiful land, and the property is open all year long.

Each cabin has its own private hot tub, filled with naturally sourced 85℉ hot spring water ideal for bathing and decompressing. However, guests have the ability to crank it up as hot as 104 degrees Fahrenheit, and as low as 80 degrees F.

Guests can choose between the Cedar Cabin, Popular Cabin, and the Pine Cabin. All the cabins are fully-furnished and pet-friendly. They all contain one bedroom and one bathroom and range from sleeping four to six people, depending on the cabin. Each comes with a full kitchen, air conditioning, propane fireplace, gas grill, WiFi, porch and/or deck, as well as of course, the aforementioned personal hot tub filled with thermal mineral water.

They’re located about 1 mile from downtown Hot Springs, NC. Since these accommodations are close to the city, guests can access the numerous restaurants in town and then come home to sleep and soak in this relaxing retreat.

There are also seasonal blueberry bushes and vegetable gardens on the property that add to the overall experience. Bring your dog(s) because the nearby environment is loaded with activities to do, including hiking, mountain biking, water tubing, and fishing.
