In 1996, the Mungindi Swimming Pool Complex began transporting mineral-rich water from a bore diving 1,037 meters below ground into the Great Artesian Basin. Since then, the basin has supplied naturally rejuvenated waters to the pool and is now a hot spot for locals and those passing through Mungindi.

Mungindi Swimming Pool Complex is home to a relaxing Artesian hot spring pool kept at a cozy 38°C. Flowing with natural waters from underneath the earth, soakers can enjoy a slew of health benefits ranging from less stress to an improved immune system and circulation. The pool is precisely 5.8 meters x 3 meters and is equipped with gentle waterfall spouts.
For those that want to enjoy a chillier experience, the location also comes with a 33-meter swimming pool for laps and playtime. Getting There
Mungindi is the only town in Australia split between two borders: New South Wales and Queensland. It’s approximately 120 km Northwest of Moree. The complex itself is most easily accessible from the Carnarvon Highway. Take the Bucknell exit and continue until you’ve reached your destination.
