Rancho San Carlos Hot Springs – Ensenada, Mexico

Just south of the United States border in Ensenada, Mexico, lies a rustic and serene hot springs destination known as Rancho San Carlos Hot Springs. It is said that the road to get to this 100-year-old destination is just as lovely and picturesque as the grounds that invite guests with several hot spring pool options.

Rancho San Carlos Hot Springs has an astounding eight different natural pools and slightly smaller tubs to choose from. Each is said to have a beautiful combination of natural and artificial qualities. Yet, all of the pools are filled with all-natural geothermal mineral waters of varying degrees with minimal sulfur smell.

Each spring is surrounded by the beauty of nature, with lush trees, whirring streams, and mesmerizing mountaintops in every direction. If you’re lucky, you’ll also spot some wildlife surrounding Rancho San Carlos, including frogs, chickens, and ducks.

While the silky, warm hot spring waters are the focal point of Rancho San Carlos Hot Springs, it’s not the only fun and relaxing activity in the area.

Rancho San Carlos also offers a thrilling rock climbing wall for those seeking adventure before their soak. Those who prefer a slightly less heart-pumping jaunt can enjoy the many bicycle paths providing beautiful views from start to finish.

When you’re ready to cool off by the waters, Rancho San Carlos is equipped with charming palapas to escape the sunshine while enjoying the breeze. You can also whip up some of your favorite foods in the accompanying grills.
