Saratoga Hot Springs Resort Wyoming Winter Snow

Saratoga Hot Springs Resort – Saratoga, Wyoming

May 3, 2022 By //  by Matt Thomas

Tucked beautifully between the Sierra Madre and Snowy Range mountains, Saratoga Hot Springs Resort is a sight for sore eyes. The mineral pools resort is located on the banks of the Upper North Platte River, a little more than 2 hours west of Cheyenne.

Saratoga is open to overnight guests, Members, and Spa visitors only, so the public cannot day-use the hot springs. It’s the perfect medicine after a long wild day playing in Wyoming’s backcountry. The Saratoga Hot Springs Resort is:

Where rustic elegance meets the great outdoors.

Hot Mineral Springs Pools

The local hot springs have a rich history, first discovered by various Native American tribes, including Cheyenne, Ute and Arapaho. They named the region “place of magic waters” because of its healing qualities. Today tourists come from all over to soak in the ambiance and health of the hot springs in Saratoga, Wyoming.

The tepee hot springs pools are available first-come, first-serve, and are non-reservable. These unique hot springs pools range in temperature from 100º to 112º.

The swimming pool is 70-feet long and filled with natural mineral water, ranging from 96º to 98º. Expect some variation in hot springs temperatures throughout the year because it’s 100% heated naturally by Mother Nature. Glass is prohibited from the pool area, however, you can bring a plastic cup from the Brewery with an adult beverage of your choice.

The water contains little sulfur odor, yet an amazing amount of beneficial minerals. Saratoga is among the top hot springs in the world. Swimwear is available
