Woman soaking in the hot springs pool at Sequoia Lodge in Australia

Sequoia Lodge – Crafers, SA, Australia

March 16, 2023 By //  by Michelle Keldgord

Sequoia Lodge is a breathtaking, adults-only resort nestled in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia. Guests are met with a slew of relaxing and enthralling experiences, from relaxing in spring-fed hot pools to cuddling up with koala bears.

The exclusive Sequoia Lodge offers three distinct spots for adult guests to soak.

Mineral Hot Spring Pools

The first is the sensational panoramic infinity pool, a medium-sized pool strategically situated to provide guests with breathtaking views of the mountains and foliage in every direction. There’s enough room to splash, take a few laps, or simply take in the scenery.

Guests can also opt for the smaller, more secluded artesian spring-fed pools. These private, small-scale tubs are ideal for sitting back, closing your eyes, and allowing the mineral waters to heal and replenish your body and mind.

Both options are fed by the local ancient waters found deep within the mountains. They’re kept at cozy, inviting temperatures that all guests will enjoy. The same water is also fed to all of the taps on the resort and is used to fill the water bottles.

Other Activities

The Sequoia Lodge is more than just a whimsical, refreshing escape perfectly embedded in nature. It’s also the go-to for life-changing experiences and unparalleled luxury. Here, you can find several encounters to enhance your stay, including:

  • The “Lodge Welcome” where you’ll learn about the Sequoia history
  • Morning yoga
  • Cheese and wine masterclasses
  • Guided nature walks and hikes
  • Star gazing

This exquisite resort also prides itself on being one of the only locations in the world within a 50-kilometer radius of four world-class wine regions. With these regions nearby – including McLaren Vale, Langhorne Creek, Eden Valley, and Adelaide Hills – guests are welcome with some of the best wine selections.

There are also a few off-campus experiences available to guests of the Sequoia Lodge, such as the “Koala Experience,” where guests can cuddle up with the koala population, and “Luxury Drive Experiences,” which allows individuals to drive through the hills in suped-up vehicles like the Ferrari F8 Tributo or Lamborghini Huracan.

Those looking to take their unwinding to the next level will also appreciate the Gatekeeper’s Day Spa, an exclusive off-site spa offering a variety of stellar massages, facials, and other intricate body treatments.

Dining

Of course, guests also have access to the nearby Mount Lofty Estate. Here, you can find Hardy’s Verandah – a spot known for its fine dining featuring delicate foods with robust flavors – or the Cocktail Lounge and Champagne Bar, the ideal place to champagne and charcuterie boards with friends and loved ones.
