Natural Hot Springs Pools
The Native American tribes of the northwest knew the area as “Big Medicine”. It has long been a favorite of visitors to Montana. The mineral baths are full of history. There are 3 pools at Symes Hot Springs Hotel.
Out in the front of the hotel lies a hot springs flow-thru pool, with a waterfall in the middle. The lower pool is kept around 101°F and the smaller upper pool is 107°F. There’s also a big swimming pool filled with natural water. It has dimensions of 20 x 40 feet and 5 feet deep and is typically around 95°F.
Private soaking is available in 4 of the original clawfoot tubs, located in the Bath Wing. You can also rent either a two-person jetted hot springs tub or jacuzzi steam hourly.
Hotel, Cabins, and Camping
There are 31 rooms at the registered historic landmark, Symes Hot Springs Hotel. Dog-friendly rooms are available. There is no smoking allowed in any of the rooms. Free wifi is available, as well as daily room cleanings. Hotel stays include the use of pools from check-in to check-out.
A variety of room configurations are available with bed sizes ranging from double, queen, king, twin, and daybed trundle. One of them is a Jacuzzi Suite for those looking for their own jetted mineral spa. Some rooms have kitchenettes.
For those needing larger accommodations, consider the 15 cabins and convenience apartments. Group rates are provided. There is a conference room available as well.
Camping is also permitted. All reservations come with 2 swim passes. Campsite available include:

Dining, Massage and Amenities
There’s a restaurant and espresso bar on-site called the Symes Bathhouse Grill & Cantina and the Daily Grind Espresso Bar.
The Symes Bathhouse Grill & Catina serves breakfast daily from 8 am to 11 am, while a simple lunch is offered on weekdays consisting of soups, sandwiches, and salads. Dinner is served Thursday to Sunday from 5 pm to 8 pm. Wine and beer are available.
The Daily Grind Espresso Bar operates every day from 7 am to 8 pm. They use organic coffee beans. You can also purchase teas, Italian sodas, juices, smoothies, and an array of baked goods.
The Radiant Touch Massage operates daily as an in-house spa. Swedish massage is available in the spa, as are a variety of treatments. They offer 30 minutes, 1-hour, and 1.5-hour massages by appointment only.
In addition to soaking in the hot springs, rejuvenating in the day spa, and lounging in your hotel room, there’s plenty else to do at the resort. An art gallery and live music will keep things interesting, as well as a gift shop selling local crafts.
