Nestled in the Boise National Forest near Garden Valley, Idaho, lies the Terrace Lakes Resort, an establishment with an 18-hole championship-style golf course and its own hot springs-fed pool. The venue also has overnight rooms, restaurants, a variety of services, and event areas.
This is a pet-friendly property, and they welcome both overnight guests and day users.
Natural Hot Springs Pool
The scenic Boise National Forest borders the outside swimming pool, and after a day of outdoor recreation or golfing, guests won’t want to miss the chance to relax in the natural hot water. The swimming area is heated and open all year thanks to the geothermal water they use to fill it.
The depth of the pool varies between 2 and 5 feet, making it enjoyable and easy to use for the whole family. Clothing is required at this facility.
Golf Course
The 18-hole layout weaves through the woods. At Terrace Lakes Resort Golf Course, golfers may see wild animals, including deer and elk, as they walk the greens. Players looking for a challenge will love this course, as the mountain landscape will test them. Nine holes play in open terrain, while the other nine are set around the mountainside and streams.
This route will test all skills due to the mountainous surroundings. Remember to return later in the year to enjoy the course’s different seasons and slightly changing landscapes.
Other Resort Amenities
Aside from golfing and swimming, overnight guests can take advantage of the many other things to do on the property. Pickleball, miles of hiking trails, a basketball court, and wildlife viewing are just a few options possible from the resort’s front door.
Visit the nearby Payette River for kayaking, canoeing, fishing, or rafting. During the winter, there are places to go for skiing, snowmobiling, snow tubing, and even “Snolfing” also known as “snow golfing.”
If people go to the resort in June, they can attend the nearby Wine & Art Festival, which has about 90 vendors.
Dining Options
Terrace Lakes Resort is pleased to provide guests with a full-service restaurant. Visitors can eat breakfast, lunch, and supper in the lodge’s in-house restaurant. Outside seating is available and is an excellent option when the weather is nice.
Accommodations
Only seven motel rooms, two cabins, and a few condos are available as places to stay. Some of the accommodations are pet-friendly, but not all are.
Each room type is equipped with a television and DirecTV. All of these places to stay are close to the many fun things to do on the property and are surrounded by beautiful scenery.
