The Spring Resort & Spa, California

The Spring Resort & Spa – Desert Hot Springs, California

November 18, 2022 By //  by Patricia K

The Spring Resort and Spa is perched on a scenic spot in Desert Hot Springs, providing breathtaking views of Palm Springs and the surrounding mountains. Accommodations and a complete spa are available at this location.

Spa services at this resort are second to none, and they cater to both day visitors and overnight guests with a wide variety of options for relaxation, purification, and restoration. All guests may choose from various special bundles that include many amenities. This center also provides detox getaways for individuals who need a break from their routine.

Spas of America named the Spring Resort & Spa one of the top 100 spas in the United States, Canada, and Mexico in 2018. The property is known for its hot springs, but it also has a shop, yoga classes, and cleanse programs that run all year.

Mineral Hot Springs

This resort has three pools filled with mineral water, which are chlorinated and require users to wear swimming attire. There’s a large outdoor pool, a hot springs spa, and a heated indoor pool. The mineral water at The Spring Resort and Spa is one of the hottest in the area, coming out at 170 °F. The water is cooled as it’s piped into the swimming and soaking areas.

At an average temperature of 88 to 90 °F, The Springs’ large outdoor hot springs pool is the perfect place to relax in the sun. The temperature of the outdoor jacuzzi stays around 104 °F, while the temperature of the indoor pool is kept at 101 °F.

This water contains minerals like sulfate, calcium, iron, magnesium, and even iodine, manganese, and selenium. The thermal spring pool is accessible to guests with disabilities thanks to a pool lift that meets the standards set by the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The Spa

At this full-service spa, you can get massages, body treatments, facials, essential oil treatments, and saunas, among other things.

Guests at The Spring Day Spa get access to all three of the spa’s sparkling mineral pools for two hours (one hour before and one hour after their treatments). Visitors to the day spa may use lockers large enough to store a day bag in addition to robes and slippers. In the comfortable changing rooms, you can find a hair dryer, samples of products, and a beautiful view, among other things.

Visitors should be there at least an hour before treatments to relax in the mineral pools. The effects of a massage are amplified by a soak in geothermal water, which helps relax the muscles. The spa also has a unique Finnish sauna where both men and women can relax together.

Lodging

The guestrooms have a calm, serene vibe about them. Many accommodations are right next to the mineral spring pools in the courtyard and feature beautiful double French doors and Egyptian linens. Guests will find plush robes, slippers, and premium shower heads in the bathroom. There are no TVs in the rooms, but devices that let guests listen to their own music instead, such as a record player, CD player, or stereo.

Almost every room has a fully equipped kitchen. There is a microwave, stove, oven, refrigerator, coffee machine, and serving utensils at the poolside breakfast table. Some rooms have their own hot mineral pools, and others have stunning views of the mountains.

There are rooms right next to each other, and the café kitchen is a divider between them. This is an excellent set-up for two couples who want to spend time together but still have their own space.
