October 28, 2020 By //  by Matt Thomas

Soak your worries away under the beautiful mountain skies at The Springs, located in the historic mining town of Idaho City, Idaho. With a long history dating back to the 1800s, The Springs provides guests with a relaxing, rejuvenating hot springs retreat experience amidst nature.

Renovated in 2013, The Springs is a luxurious outdoor resort for both adults and children, nestled among the trees. It’s open year round, except for Tuesdays and major holidays.

When visiting The Springs, you have the option of using the large geothermal pool as well the main hot tub, registering approximately 104°F for your pleasure. Additionally, if you are seeking a more individual experience, you can reserve a private pool for yourself or a small group.

Reservations are highly recommended when visiting The Springs, and guests should be aware that separate reservations must be made for both the main pool as well as the private pools if you decide to take a secluded soak. Reservations should be placed at least 24 hours in advance to ensure access to the pools. Certain days of the week are 18+ only while others, such as Sunday, are ‘family days’, so make sure to book accordingly.

Note: The Springs only takes reservations for groups of 10 or less to guarantee that all guests can enjoy the facilities without interference.

Day Passes

Guests can choose from either a full day pass or a private pool pass, depending on the desired experience. A day pass includes all-day access to the pools, steam room, and lounge as well as:

  • Private hot springs showers, a personal locker with key, and a large plush pool towel
  • Complimentary spa amenities including our signature shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, grooming products, sunscreen, and moisturizer
  • Complimentary herbal tea, organic coffee, and mineral water served poolside

While the private pool pass includes almost everything listed above, guests have to pay a small additional fee for access to the pools, steam room, and lounge. It should also be mentioned that clothing is optional in the private pools, so for those who like an all-natural experience, this option may be perfect for you.

Don’t forget to look at their events calendar to see what musical artists or guests are scheduled to perform. Imagine soaking under the stars, with a drink in hand, all while being serenaded by local artists. Now that sounds like paradise!
