Located in the Saratoga Spa State Park, the Victoria Mineral Water Pool has been a locals’ swimming hole for the better part of a century. It is known to be America’s first heated pool, although it currently does not get heated.
The rounded arch promenade surrounding the water area is distinctive. It is how people recognize the pool and give it a charming historical vibe. The Saratoga Springs area is a world-famous destination known for its rich mineral-infused waters, so it’s no wonder that this pool is a busy spot during the summer.
The Victoria Pool is open daily from the end of June to early September, 10 am to 6 pm. Adults, seniors, and children over five years old pay an entry fee. There is also an entry fee to park at the pool. New York residents ages 62 and older are exempt from paying on Mondays through Fridays (except holidays) thanks to the New York State Golden Park Program.
Victoria Pool’s facility has showers, lockers, and bathrooms for changing and getting ready or dressed in the swimming area. There are also food and drink services at the pool. Swimming attire is required to go in the water, and pets are not allowed in the vicinity. Check out the other state park springs.
