Warner Springs Ranch is a 2,500-acre, iconic Western-themed hot springs ranch resort near Lake Henshaw and an hour northeast of San Diego. The main lodge is 27,000 square feet, and guests also have access to various lodging options, dining options, and other facilities.
Warner Springs has a documented Native American history dating back at least 6,000 years. They were the ancestors of people who settled in the area about 1700.
The land became a working ranch in the middle of the 19th century. In the 1920s, it was known as a health and wellness retreat and a place to have fun. It is known for its healing natural hot springs and beautiful countryside views.
Natural Hot Springs
The property will have a completed hot springs pool in the near future; it is still under development. It was due to open in 2020 but has been delayed because of the pandemic.
Other Activities
Warner Springs offers a wealth of things to do with its four tennis courts, horseback riding trails, swimming pools, volleyball courts, and hiking and biking trails. The resort plans to re-establish 40 acres of vineyards to have an on-site winery.
Golf is another significant amenity at the property. The 18-hole, Par 72 championship course at Warner Springs Ranch Golf Club has a total yardage of 6,775, making it a unique challenge for players of any ability level. The Ranch, where these 18 holes are located, and the planned “Johnny Miller-inspired 9 holes” are known for their long history and high quality.
Just a few miles away, Lake Henshaw is a large lake that’s stocked with many fish species, perfect for anglers of all skill levels. This is a great year-round fishing location; all the bait, gear, and licenses needed can be purchased at the ranch store.
Dining
With a focus on using fresh, locally sourced products and a farm-to-plate philosophy, Warner Springs Ranch Resort is creating a range of elite but family-friendly dining experiences, both inside and out. The resort has everything you need to eat, from chuck wagon BBQs to morning rides on horseback to grab-and-go options.

Accommodations and Camping
Take a trip back in time at the Warner Springs Ranch Resort’s Historic Cabins. There are 28 restored historic cottages available right now. Each one has either one queen or two double beds and its own bathroom.
The resort also plans to add a luxury RV park along Agua Caliente Creek. When complete, it will be in proximity to the property’s amenities, with easy access to golf, hot springs, and horseback riding stables.
