Tucked away in the dense forest of the Columbia River Gorge you will find Carson Hot Springs Resort. A peaceful and quiet destination located in Carson, Washington great for a date weekend with the spouse or significant other.
The story of how this resort came about reminds one of Jed Clampett stumbling upon the Texas Tea seeping up through the ground while on a hunt with his dog. In 1876, Isadore St. Martin was out hunting when he noticed water bubbling up through the rocks in the Wind River.
He shoved the ole booger hook in to the water and realized it was warm to the touch. Shortly thereafter, he filed an Indian Homestead Claim which was approved months later allowing him to commercialize the attraction. The hotel was completed in 1901 with much of the original look maintained to this day.

Cabins and a bathhouse were added to the mix in 1923. It’s now a wonderful retreat where people go to relax and pamper themselves with activities such as a mineral pool therapy, spa treatments, mineral baths, and golf.
