Thirty miles south of McCall, Idaho, you’ll find the Gold Fork Hot Springs, one of the most-visited commercial thermal resorts in the state. These hot springs draw tourists far and wide and are often packed, regardless of the season.
Mineral Hot Springs
Gold Fork Hot Springs has six mineral pools forming a flow-through system. The temperature of these pools generally ranges from 85-110°F. The water is untreated and rich in minerals such as calcium, fluoride, sodium, and lithium.
Additionally, there is a sandy pool for children, allowing the entire family to have a day full of fun.
The pool is surrounded by a 50-year-old wooden decking that adds to the hot spring’s simplistic, rustic nature. There are changing rooms, lockers, and swim rentals available on-site. There is no camping or overnight parking and make sure to bring cash, as this site does not accept credit cards.
A perfect site for day tours, Gold Fork Hot Springs is convenient and easily accessible for those who wish to soak their day away.
