Step back in time by visiting the Green Canyon Hot Springs, a 100-year-old privately-owned hot spring in Newdale, Idaho. Originally, this geothermal spot was known as Pincock Hot Springs.
With both primitive campsites and RV hookups available, as well as swimming lessons for the kids, visitors can enjoy a weekend getaway in the great outdoors.
Natural Hot Springs Pools

Visitors to Green Canyon Hot Springs Resort can soak the day away in one, or all, of the three outdoor hot spring pools located on the property. The Big Pool is maintained at a temperature of 96oF, while the Hot Pool and Spring Pool hover around 105oF and 115oF, respectively.
In addition to the three outdoor hot pools, there is an invigorating 55oF Cold Pool for guests who wish to, as the name suggests, cool off. Swimsuits are mandatory unless you reserve the pools for private service.
Green Canyon Hot Springs is not open daily and their hours of operation change with the seasons, so it’s recommended that before visiting, you check their website to verify. It’s typically closed on Sundays and is usually only open for 4 to 5 hours during the off-season. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, Green Canyon is open from 12 pm – 10 pm, and 10 am – 10 pm on Saturdays.
There is a daily admission fee as well as 4-month and season passes available for those who wish to spend their days soaking in the steamy pools. If your child is looking for swim lessons, Green Canyon offers a swim camp for children ages 5 and above. The swim camp is held for one week, with participants practicing for 2 hours a day.
Camping

Tent campsite rentals as well as RV hookup sites are available for a fee and require a reservation. There are a variety of site options, ranging from dry camping to partial and full hookups. Fees vary based on the site type and the season, summer or off-season, the former of which is much higher.
When booking, you have the option of selecting exactly where your site is by using the interactive map on the website. Sites typically include a shaded area and picnic tables, otherwise, be prepared for a rustic experience among incredible scenic views.
ATVs are not permitted to be driven at the resort, though you can bring one and leave it on a trailer.
