Getting There

Reaching Hot Springs Cove in the Maquinna Marine Provincial Park is no simple task. Located 27 nautical miles from the town of Tofino, visitors must travel by boat, plane, or a combination of the two. Boat rides typically take around one and a half hours, while a seaplane flight takes 20 minutes.

While you can opt for a water taxi service, the more popular option is to engage in one of the many tours provided. Tours typically last six hours and include a boat or plane ride to the Hot Springs Cove, plus a two-hour soak in the mesmerizing springs.

Note that there is a small, two-kilometer walk (approximately 30 minutes) on a cedar boardwalk to reach the hot springs after departing the boat or plane. The hike is beautifully set within old growth forest. Hikers are invited to take in the stunning yet peaceful forestry while they dash toward the hot spring pools.
