Hot Springs and Pools

Once considered a sacred site by local Native Americans, the Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs Resort & Spa is currently the only spring in the world with four different types of sulfur-free mineral water.

The Lithia Spring, Iron Spring, Soda Spring, and Arsenic Spring each have their own healing properties and are large enough to hold multiple people. There are a total of twelve pools located on the property with temperatures ranging between 80°- 106°F. The pools are filled with different combinations of mineral water, allowing guests to choose what best suits their needs.

Note: Day passes are available for purchase for those wishing to make a quick trip. Prices vary depending on the day and season.

In addition to these impressive hot springs, Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs Resort & Spa provides guests access to the Kiva Pool, Mud Pool, and Private Outdoor Pool. The Kiva pool is full of iron and arsenic minerals, while the Mud Pool is known to release toxins and leave you feeling refreshed.

Visitors looking for a romantic, independent soak can also rent the private outdoor pool for 50 minutes at a reasonable fee.

Other Amenities

As nice as it is to soak in the springs, there are times when visitors will need a break from the hot mineral water.

Guests can partake in outdoor activities like bird watching, hiking, and mountain biking on the property’s massive 1100-acre campus. Reflect and stretch at one of the daily yoga classes, hosted seven days a week to guests of all levels. There is even a full-service spa that is sure to improve your serenity.

When you’re done relaxing, swing by the farm-to-table Artesian Restaurant or Wine Bar Lounge for a cocktail and meal. Reservations are recommended for the Artesian Restaurant and robes may be worn by guests at the Wine Bar Lounge.

Lodging and Camping

Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs Resort & Spa offers multiple lodging accommodations including suites, a historic hotel, private homes, vintage trailers, and cottages. There is also a campground and an RV park with water and electrical hook-ups.

Overnight guests, excluding those at the campsite/RV hookups, are given access to the mineral pools, steam room, and sauna as part of their stay.

Oja Caliente Mineral Springs Resort & Spa also has special lodging packages, allowing guests to visit both the Ojo Caliente and Santa Fe locations.

Getting There

From Santa Fe:

  1. Take US 84/US-285 north 23 miles to Espanola.
  2. Turn right onto Truck Route 84/285
  3. Soon after, turn right onto State Road 30 and left onto US-84/285.
  4. Drive North for six miles and turn right on US-285 when you see mile marker 197.
  5. Continue to the intersection of Road 414 and US-285
  6. Turn left at mile marker 353 onto 414. This is the entrance to the Springs.
