The locals’ favorite in Saratoga, Wyoming is the Saratoga Hobo Hot Pool. If you’re passing through town, it’s a must-stop. This hot springs pool is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year, and it’s free!
They are owned and operated by the Town of Saratoga. It’s the only public hot springs in town open to day visitors just looking to soak. There’s another hot spring in town, Saratoga Hot Springs Resort, although it’s only accessible to overnight guests, Members, and Spa Visitors.
Free Public Hot Springs Pools
The swimming pool and Hobo Pool are directly beside each other on Walnut Street. Take Highway 130/First Street, turn east onto Walnut and you can see the hot springs at the end of the street. The first building is the swimming pool, which has sidewalks leading to the Hobo Pool. There are bathrooms and showers to use as well.
Hobo Hot Pool
There is a larger hobo hot pool and another “not-so-hot” pool. The former has varying temperatures between 106°F to 119°F in the warmest part of the pool. This larger pool is perfect for really relaxing your muscles and recovering your body from a long day of adventuring in “The Cowboy State”.
Not-So-Hot Pool
The latter smaller pool has an average temperature of 100°F. Its cooler water allows for slightly longer soaks and opens up the use to a younger family-friendly audience.
Municipal Swimming Pool
Located adjacent to Hobo Hot Springs is the Municipal Swimming Pool. It’s open seasonally from around Memorial Day to Labor Day (late May to early September). Although not free, the Municipal Swimming Pool is reasonably priced. Contact the Town of Saratoga at 307-326-8335 for swimming pool rates and hours.
