The Blue Mountain campus of Spa Scandinave is a haven for nature lovers. It’s set upon a 25-acre piece of land covered with Ontario birch, Canadian maple, and pine trees, located two hours northwest of Toronto, the province’s capital city.
In fact, guests can relax with captivating views of UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve Niagara Escarpment. Turtles, frogs, and wild turkeys make an appearance in the fall as the leaves put on a beautiful display of seasonal colors. Blue Mountain Resort skiers can also be seen in the winter months.

Forest Bathing
A certified forest bathing trail is unique to Blue Mountain Spa Scandinave. According to studies, when you’re in the forest, you inhale essential oils called phytoncides that improve immune system function. It can help lower blood pressure and anxiety while increasing cognitive function among many other positive effects.
Being a spa, what better way to help guests take advantage of the healing properties of the baths than by encouraging them to take a short walk in the forest? They suggest a 20-30 minutes jaunt on a trail that outlines a pond on the property, enhancing the peaceful nature of the task. It’s under a mile to complete the whole thing.
The experience is topped off with some natural tea back at the Welcome Hut. Guests can choose a self-guided experience or opt for a guided one.
