Declared by the Department of the Interior to be a Historic place, scuba divers have discovered saber-tooth tiger and mammoth fossils, as well as prehistoric bones and tools. The discoveries here have changed the theory of human movement across North America and showed that early Paleo Indians were also using the Warm Mineral Springs as a sacred healing place.

Attracting over 100,000 visitors annually, this beautiful health spa has received global recognition for its healing properties. Often referred to as the “Fountain of Youth” and “Miracle Lake”, many have experienced an array of health benefits. From restoring electrolyte imbalances and relieving inflammation, to calming arthritis and sciatica pain, there are countless stories of its ailment alleviating effects.
